Course Summary:

This online Short Course outlines the role of fitness specialist in the rehabilitation process when dealing with clients with medical conditions or injured clients utilising a team approach. The course outlines the process for developing networks with professional health providers such as physiotherapists, osteopaths, chiropractors and General Practitioners in the referral process for clients, gaining client consent and providing medicolegal reports in the Australian context.

    1. Understand the process of making referrals to medical and allied health professionals 
    2. Identify the process for responding to referrals
    3. Describe the exercise considerations, guidelines and monitoring required in managing clients under referrals
    4. Understand the process of case management for the client referred by a medical or allied health professional.
